Dostoevsky once said that “people are people, not keys on a piano.”  That’s what the novel “Squat” is about–it’s about some people who haven’t responded to being keys on a piano.  That’s it–the city, the institutions, the way people think can all work to put us into certain categories–successful, or homeless; businessperson, or criminal.  Wasn’t being crucified at one time the same as saying you made an “F” in life?  Didn’t Jesus sort of redefine that?  The novel “Squat” is coming out in September.  I’m in the mountains for a week before I go back to the city.  Not many squatters in my neighborhood anymore…

wow! A blog. I’m excited you have a blog, finally. Haven’t we been requesting this for years? :)
So, there are bloggers, and non bloggers. I agree, being a blogger hasn’t fulfilled me or made me famous. It has just given me an outlet. I’m glad Jesus’ definitions of what we need to make it in life did not include having a blog, or even commenting on one. Thank goodness all I have to do is accept his gift of true life.

Taylor,

Can’t wait to get a copy of your latest book, Squat. Could you please list all books you have written so folks might be able to purchase them, too?
I thought Mercy Streets was exceptional. You have an incredible way of causing us to reflect on what is truly important in life and the power of God expressed through genuine love and care.

God bless you!
